Spring is kicking off quick, friends! A few weeks ago I drove up to Raleigh to hang with Kathryn and Morgan for their engagement session at Dorothea Dix Park. We started a little earlier in the day because the weather was threatening to mess with our evening session, but we still managed to find some awesome light near a little bridge. And of course... the rain never showed! I guess that's how it goes sometimes.Read More
As we say hello to 2017 today, I want to rewind six months to one of most beautiful trips of my entire life. There will be many more post to come from these ten days in Greece, but lets start with Morgan & Jarrod's picture-perfect wedding at the Remezzo Villas in Fira, Santorini.
I am forever grateful.Read More
As you look through this blog, I hope you're able to feel the love, laughter and beauty that was this day. I'm forever grateful to have been a part of it.Read More
I had the pleasure of photographing Luke Kuechly back in July at Stax for a new supplement company that he endorses called Eat The Bear. This shoot was on one of those 100+ days and considering all that we asked of him, Luke never skipped a beat. Honestly, I don't spend much time in the NFL world and definitely haven't spent much time around NFL Pro Bowlers, but this guy was humble, gracious and all-around great to work with for the day. It's no surprise that he's one of the best in the league.
Good luck this season, Luke (and the rest of the Carolina Panthers)!
How fun is this family session in NoDa from last Christmas?! I can't tell you how much fun it is when the kids are old enough to interact and show of their personalities... what a difference it makes! Such an awesome afternoon.
Definitely reach out if you'd like to book a family or portrait session this Fall when the temperatures are a bit more tolerable. Jump on over to the contact form to inquire. Would love to hear from you!Read More
Did you have your morning coffee yet? If not, go grab it and settle in for a beautiful scroll through Meghan & Scott's wedding earlier this year at Whitehead Manor here in Charlotte, NC. They got married back in May with one of the best weather days I've ever seen here.
This day was full of laughs, tears, and love. But also, some absolutely rockin' tunes. I hope you enjoy it as much as I had photographing it. Cheers!Read More
It's been non-stop over here since I got back from Greece and Thailand a few weeks ago and I'm chomping at the bit to get started on my weddings for this Summer/Fall season.
For Nicole & Clint's engagement session, we started over at Triple C Brewing for a beer and to take in some of the Charlotte's brewery-vibe that they enjoy. We then meandered over to the Elizabeth neighborhood for some more photos at a spot I knew might get some pretty evening light... luckily the weather held out and we got gold during sunset.
Can't wait to photograph their wedding in downtown Wilmington next year!Read More
I hope everyone is enjoying this insane Summer sun as much as possible! But wow it's hot... hotter than Thai-Summer-hot. Where do we go for water around here? The lakes, but what if you don't have a boat? I miss the beach. Maybe I'll move back to Wrightsville Beach? Do you have a pool? I don't. I wish I did. But continue on and you'll see some awesomeness that took place near a pool last week with Vestique! That'll do, right?
Really pumped to be working with this super talented team again!Read More
We're just under two weeks before Meghan & Scott's wedding day here in Charlotte so I figured it'd be a great time to post their engagement photos from last Fall! A lot of it was shot at their house with the pups, but then we managed to get uptown just as the fog burned off. Can't wait to spend the day at Whitehead Manor with you guys!Read More
This day was HOT, but my-oh-my was it something special. I met Sara & Todd a few months prior at a wedding here in Charlotte and was thrilled when they asked if I'd like to join them for their very intimate ceremony and reception at Middleton Place just outside of Charleston. If I'm not mistaken this was a first date spot and so they wanted to tie the knot here where it all began overlooking the Ashley River.
