Can you travel to my wedding? Absolutely. Traveling, both personally and professionally, is one of my favorite things. There can never be too many new places, cultures or people. For weddings, I will always do my best to keep costs affordable. Please just ask if you’re interested in a destination wedding. **Charleston area weddings and couples do not incur any travel fees.**

Can we customize our wedding coverage? My wedding philosophy and approach is designed for simplicity's sake, but I’m always happy to customize offerings based on your needs.

How do we book you for our date? To reserve your wedding day, a retainer of 50% of your package price is due at the signing of the contract. The remaining balance can be paid 7 days prior to your wedding day.

How many photos will we get from our wedding? In many ways, I try to live my life with the “less is more” philosophy and this pertains to weddings too. That’s not to say I don’t want you to have all of the moments and memories from you day, but I do spend a lot of time curating the best of the best so that when you sit down to look at your images you can enjoy every one without feeling rushed to get through everything. The total number largely depends on the amount of coverage, details, bridal party, locations and other things that make up your wedding day. Over the years I tend to estimate anywhere from 50-100 images per hour of coverage on the wedding day.

What kind of equipment do you use? Do you have backup gear? I shoot on professional Nikon (film and digital) and Pentax medium format. I'm a hybrid photographer, which means I shoot a mix of film and digital. Why both? Digital helps me keep up with the faster parts of the day. And film because it has a magical quality to it that can't be matched. It loves light. On any given wedding day, I usually have 3-5 cameras with me so there's plenty of redundancy. That goes for insurance too. Got it covered.

How long have you been a wedding photographer in Charlotte? I’ve been photographing weddings in North Carolina, South Carolina and internationally since 2008.
